Preparation Steps
- Slice the fresh strawberries and mix them with granulated sugar in a bowl. Let them sit for at least 20 minutes to create a syrup that enhances their sweetness and flavor.
- Preheat your oven as per the pizza dough package instructions. Unroll the vegan pizza dough and carefully place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet for easy removal after baking.
- Sprinkle vegan chocolate chips around the edges of the dough. Fold the dough over the chocolate chips to create a stuffed edge, then poke the crust with a fork to prevent it from puffing up during baking.
- Place the prepared pizza in the preheated oven and bake according to the package instructions, usually around 12–15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
- Once baked, take the pizza out of the oven and immediately spread the warm homemade Nutella over the crust. Sprinkle some more chocolate chips on top, then layer on the macerated strawberries. Add fresh mint sprigs for a lovely garnish.
- Optional: Drizzle with extra Nutella for added sweetness and presentation.
