How to Make Tennessee Onions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Slice your sweet onions into thick rings and layer them in the dish.
- Drizzle melted unsalted butter over the onions, then sprinkle with garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir gently.
- Evenly distribute shredded cheddar, Monterey Jack, and grated Parmesan cheeses on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
