Preparation Steps
- Soak skewers: Start by soaking your wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes. This prevents them from burning while giving you that perfect golden-brown finish.
- Mix seasonings: Combine the chicken seasoning mixture in a small bowl. This blend will ensure each piece of chicken is bursting with flavor!
- Prepare chicken: Cut the chicken into 3-inch pieces and place them in a large bowl or zip-top bag. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle the seasoning mix over the top, tossing well to coat every morsel.
- Assemble skewers: Pack the chicken onto each skewer tightly, ensuring there are no gaps between pieces. If any skewers are too long for your air fryer, trim them down to fit!
- Make sauce: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and minced garlic together until partially melted. Stir in red pepper flakes, hot sauce, parsley, and grated parmesan until everything is well combined.
- Reserve sauce: Scoop out 1/3 of the sauce for basting the par-cooked chicken and set it aside. Keep the remaining sauce for later; it’s a game-changer!
- Cook skewers: Cook 2-3 skewers at a time in the air fryer at 400°F for 5 minutes. After that, remove, flip, baste them with sauce, and cook for an additional 2 minutes at the same temperature.
- Final cooking: Flip the skewers back over, baste with more sauce, and continue cooking for another 5-6 minutes or until the chicken's internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Last touch: Once they’re perfectly cooked, brush on a final coating of the reserved garlic sauce and sprinkle with additional parmesan for that extra touch of flavor.

Notes
Optional: Serve with a squeeze of fresh lemon for a zesty finish! Best to soak skewers and ensure even coating of chicken to avoid bland bites.
