Method

How to Make Spooky Stuffed Mushroom Eyeballs
  1. Gently wipe the small white button mushrooms to remove any dirt, then carefully pop out the stems. Place the cleaned caps on a parchment-lined baking sheet and lightly spray them with olive oil for that perfect bake.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella or Parmesan, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the mixture is smooth and creamy, making sure all the ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Spoon the luscious cheese mixture generously into each mushroom cap, creating small domes that will keep that delightful filling inside as they bake.
  4. Top each stuffed mushroom with a slice of pitted black olive to represent the pupil. Add a tiny dollop of marinara sauce inside each cap for an extra touch of eeriness!
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the stuffed mushrooms for about 15-18 minutes, or until they are tender and the cheese is perfectly melted.
  6. Once they’re out of the oven, sprinkle with fresh parsley or basil for a pop of color, and enjoy them warm or at room temperature for the best experience.
