  • 2 pods Vanilla Bean Pods Alternatively, use 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup Honey or agave syrup can be substituted.
For the Fizz
  • 2 cups Sparkling Water Can replace with Prosecco for a cocktail variation.
For the Glass Preparation
  • 1 slice Lemon or Lime Wedge Could substitute with an orange wedge.
  • 1 cup Cinnamon Sugar Mix equal parts sugar and ground cinnamon for homemade.
For Serving
  • 2 cups Ice Ensure to use clear ice.
  • 4 sprigs Fresh Thyme or Rosemary Other herbs like mint could also be used.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large pitcher, mix the pear juice, maple syrup, and sliced vanilla bean pods together. Stir gently, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, and up to 4 hours.
  2. Take your lemon or lime wedge and rub it around the rim of each glass. Dip the rim into cinnamon sugar.
  3. Just before serving, pour the sparkling water into the pitcher with your pear mixture. Stir gently to keep the bubbles intact.
  4. Fill each glass with clear ice, then pour in your sparkling mixture.
  5. Add a slice of vanilla bean pod and a sprig of fresh thyme or rosemary to each glass for an aromatic flair.
