  • 1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt can use kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Allspice optional
  • 1 teaspoon Rum Extract or dark rum
For Serving
  • 4 scoops Vanilla Ice Cream or dairy-free ice cream
  • 1/2 cup Nilla Wafer Cookies can substitute with graham crackers

Steps to Make
  1. In a large skillet over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add in the organic brown sugar, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, sea salt, and ground allspice, whisking until the mixture is smooth and creamy—this should take about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Gently fold sliced ripe bananas into the sauce along with the rum extract. Cook until the bananas become tender and coated in caramel, which should take approximately 2-3 minutes.
  3. Spoon the warm, gooey bananas foster over a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream and sprinkle with crushed Nilla wafer cookies.
