For the Sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 stalk Fresh Lemongrass
  • 3 tablespoons Hoisin Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Fish Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha optional
For the Pork
  • 1 tablespoon Cooking Oil canola or vegetable
  • 1 pound Ground Pork
  • 2 pieces Thai Bird’s Eye Chilis optional
For the Bowls
  • 3 cups Cooked Rice jasmine rice recommended
  • 4 cups Green Leaf Lettuce torn
  • 1 cup Cucumbers sliced
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Cilantro chopped
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Mint chopped
  • 2 wedges Lime Wedges

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Whisk together garlic, lemongrass, Hoisin sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, and Sriracha in a bowl and set aside.
  2. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add the cooking oil.
  3. Add the ground pork and sauté for 4 to 5 minutes until it starts to turn opaque.
  4. Pour the prepared sauce over the pork and cook for 6 to 8 minutes until thickened.
  5. Assemble bowls with torn lettuce, cooked rice, and sliced cucumbers topped with caramelized pork.
  6. Garnish with cilantro, mint, and lime wedges before serving.
