Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Blend the extra firm high-protein tofu in a food processor until it turns crumbly.
- Mix vital wheat gluten, water, nutritional yeast, and all the spices into the blended tofu.
- Knead the dough by hand for about one minute, shaping it into a loaf.
- Prepare a sheet of foil by coating it with oil and sprinkling half of the hickory seasoning in the center.
- Roll the dough tightly in the foil, positioning the remaining hickory seasoning on top before sealing.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, then carefully open the foil and bake for another 30-40 minutes.
- Cool at room temperature for a bit before refrigerating overnight.
