How to Make Onion and Feta Fritters
- Thinly slice two onions and finely chop the remaining two.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and optional chilli flakes. Gradually add water until smooth consistency.
- Gently fold in sliced and diced onions along with crumbled feta cheese.
- Heat canola oil in a frying pan until hot, about 2 cm deep.
- Drop tablespoons of the batter into the hot oil, frying until golden and crispy, around 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove fritters from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- Combine all sauce ingredients in a saucepan and simmer for 5-10 minutes until syrupy.
- Serve hot with sweet chilli soy dipping sauce.
