Ingredients
  

For the Tart Base
  • 1 package Puff Pastry store-bought or homemade
For the Filling
  • 2 cups Mushrooms sliced, can substitute with cremini or shiitake
  • 1 cup Shallots finely chopped, can substitute with onions
  • 4 oz Herbed Goat Cheese or mix cream cheese with herbs
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil can use butter for a richer taste
For Serving
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Herbs for garnishing

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped mushrooms and shallots, sautéing until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into squares or circles.
  4. Place a generous spoonful of the filling on the pastry and add a dollop of herbed goat cheese on top.
  5. Fold and seal the edges of the pastry.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve hot or at room temperature.
