How to Make Chicken Tava
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a metal baking pan, arrange chopped tomatoes, potatoes, bell pepper, and onion.
- In a large bowl, combine boneless chicken with cumin, thyme, paprika, grated garlic, and 1 tbsp of olive oil.
- Mix the spiced chicken with the layered vegetables, add tomato paste, and drizzle with more olive oil.
- Season with salt and black pepper, and optionally add butter.
- Cover the pan with foil and bake for about 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and broil for 5-10 minutes until browned.
- Serve warm alongside Turkish sides like coban salatasi and flatbread.
