  • 1 head Green Cabbage fresh and firm
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil or melted coconut oil
For the Flavoring
  • 8 slices Uncooked Bacon or turkey bacon
  • 4 tablespoons Butter or vegan butter
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Prepare the cabbage by cutting the head into 8 wedges and removing the core.
  3. Arrange the wedges in a roasting pan and season liberally with salt and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Scatter the uncooked bacon pieces over the cabbage.
  5. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat until it turns brown and drizzle over the cabbage.
  6. Cover the pan with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes, until tender and golden.
  8. Serve immediately.
