  • 1 tbsp Lemon Zest Can substitute with orange zest
  • 2 tbsp Honey Maple syrup can be used as an alternative
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Thyme Leaves Dried thyme can be substituted
For the Pastry
  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry Thawed Pepperidge Farms recommended
  • 1 large Egg Beat before using
For the Cheese and Toppings
  • 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese Cabot brand is recommended
  • 1 tsp Flaky Sea Salt Regular sea salt can be used
  • 1/2 cup Roasted Pecans Can substitute with walnuts or omit

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Prep Apples: Start by coring the Honeycrisp apples and slicing them into thin 1/8" thick pieces.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon zest and half of the honey.
  3. Roll and Shape Pastry: Unfold the thawed puff pastry and cut it into squares. Place a scoop of apple mixture in the center.
  4. Seal Bundles: Carefully fold the pastry over the filling, pinching edges to seal. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
  5. Bake: Arrange bundles on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes.
