How to Make Lebanese Kafta
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef or lamb with the diced onion, chopped parsley, Lebanese 7 spice, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly using your hands until well combined.
- Divide the meat mixture into 6 to 10 portions, shaping them into patties or elongated fingers.
- If grilling, clean and oil your grill grates. Preheat to medium heat and place the kafta on the grill for 10-12 minutes, turning regularly.
- For skillet cooking, heat over medium heat and add olive oil if desired. Cook the kafta patties until browned on all sides, typically around 8-10 minutes.
- Place sliced tomatoes on the grill or in the skillet during the last few minutes of cooking.
- Serve your Lebanese Kafta immediately with a side of rice, fresh salad, or wrapped in lavash or pita.
