Preparation

- Prepare the baking dish by oiling or buttering a glass or ceramic dish, about 8x11 inches.

Cooking
- Sauté corn, onion, and jalapeño in a skillet with a little oil over medium/high heat until softened and slightly browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Char tortillas one at a time in an oiled skillet until slightly charred, about 10-15 seconds per side.

- Layer the prepared dish with tortillas, starting from the sides, then filling in the middle.
- Spread chopped tomatoes and cooked chicken evenly on top of the tortillas.
- Add the corn and onion mixture, spreading it over the chicken.
- Drizzle the binding cream mixture on top.
- Sprinkle the grated cheese over the top.
- Bake for about 45 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
- Serve hot, complementing with crema, sour cream, avocado slices, or a fresh green salad.
