How to Make Salted White Chocolate Lavender Cookies
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, shortening, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg yolk to the butter mixture and blend well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cornstarch, and dried lavender. Gradually add to the wet ingredients.
- Gently fold in the white chocolate chunks.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Scoop out balls of dough and place them on a lined baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Optional: Sprinkle a few sea salt flakes on top just before baking.
