Steps
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange the hard taco shells upright in a baking dish.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the diced onion until fully cooked. Drain excess fat, then stir in minced garlic and taco seasoning for 1 minute. Mix in the tomato sauce or salsa and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Fill each taco shell with the beef mixture, and top with shredded cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melty and the shells are golden brown.
- Top each taco with fresh ingredients such as lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and cilantro. Serve warm.
