How to Make Sweet Potato Casserole
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease your casserole dish.
  2. Spread the pecans on a baking sheet and roast for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Boil the sweet potatoes in salted water for about 15 minutes until fork-tender, then mash until smooth.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes with brown sugar, butter, eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and a pinch of cinnamon until crumbly.
  6. Layer half of the sweet potato mixture in a greased dish, sprinkle half of the cinnamon filling, add the remaining sweet potato mix, and top with pecans and mini marshmallows.
  7. Bake for about 30 minutes or until heated through and the topping is golden brown.
  8. Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving warm.
