How to Make Sweet Potato Casserole
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease your casserole dish.
- Spread the pecans on a baking sheet and roast for about 5-7 minutes.
- Boil the sweet potatoes in salted water for about 15 minutes until fork-tender, then mash until smooth.
- In a mixing bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes with brown sugar, butter, eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and a pinch of cinnamon until crumbly.
- Layer half of the sweet potato mixture in a greased dish, sprinkle half of the cinnamon filling, add the remaining sweet potato mix, and top with pecans and mini marshmallows.
- Bake for about 30 minutes or until heated through and the topping is golden brown.
- Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving warm.
