How to Make Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles
- Cook Noodles: Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the noodles and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and rinse with warm water to prevent sticking, then toss with a bit of vegetable oil.
- Brown Beef: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Sauté until browned, about 5-7 minutes, and then drain any excess grease.
- Add Aromatics: Stir in the minced garlic and ginger into the skillet. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, stirring continuously to avoid burning.
- Make Sauce: In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, and hoisin sauce. Pour this mixture into the skillet with the cooked beef and stir well!
- Thicken Sauce: Clear a space in the skillet and mix in the cornstarch slurry. Stir constantly until the sauce thickens, approximately 1-2 minutes.
- Combine: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing them gently with the beef and sauce to absorb all those delicious flavors. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Finish: Stir in a splash of sesame oil and half of the chopped green onions. Serve garnished with the remaining green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
