Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 2 cups Rolled Oats Opt for jumbo or rolled oats for best results.
  • 1 cup Ground Oats/Oat Flour Blend oats into a fine flour for a smooth texture.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cardamom Optional; enhances flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt Enhances sweetness.
Filling Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Oil Can substitute with neutral oils.
  • 1/3 cup Maple Syrup Agave syrup may also work.
  • 1 cup Dark Chocolate (70% or above) Use good-quality chocolate for best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Tahini May substitute with peanut or almond butter.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, stir together rolled oats, ground oats, salt, and cardamom until evenly mixed.
  2. Pour in the melted coconut oil and maple syrup, mixing thoroughly until all dry ingredients are coated.
  3. Take about ¾ of the oat mixture and press it into a lined 7” square tin. Freeze for 15 minutes.
  4. Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof dish over low heat, stirring frequently. Mix in the tahini until smooth.
  5. Pour the chocolate-tahini mixture over the chilled oat base, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle remaining oat mixture on top.
  6. Return the tin to the freezer and chill for 30-60 minutes until set.
