Making the Cake
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease the bundt pan generously with baking spray.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until thoroughly combined.
- In a large bowl, beat the unsalted butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Mix in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- Frost the cooled cake generously with chocolate icing and top with Halloween-themed decorations.
