Steps to Make Loaded Ground Beef and Potatoes Skillet
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cook the chopped raw bacon in a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until crispy.
  3. Remove the bacon and drain any excess grease, keeping flavor in the skillet.
  4. Brown the ground beef, stirring in dry mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce until there's no pink remaining.
  5. Layer half of the sliced potatoes at the bottom of the skillet, followed by the cooked ground beef mixture.
  6. Top with the remaining sliced potatoes.
  7. Pour the skim milk over layered ingredients and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-50 minutes until cheese is bubbling and golden.
