  • 1 tbsp Diced Jalapeños Optional for heat
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Cilantro Can substitute with parsley
  • 1/4 cup Diced Red Onion Green onions can be used
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed
  • 2 tbsp Pesto For spreading

  • 1 medium Avocado Ripe
  • 1 medium Tomato Ripe varieties
  • 4 slices Crispy Bread (Sourdough or similar) Toast for extra crunch
  • 2 tbsp Chipotle Aioli Optional for extra flavor

Preparation
  1. Prepare Tuna Filling: In a bowl, break up the canned tuna. Mix in mayonnaise, mustard, salt, black pepper, diced jalapeños, chopped cilantro, diced red onion, and freshly squeezed lemon juice until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency.
  2. Toast Bread: Take slices of sourdough bread and grill or press them until they are crispy and lightly golden.
  3. Build Sandwich: Spread a generous layer of pesto on one side of each toasted piece of bread. Next, layer sliced avocado and tomato, then spoon on a hearty helping of your creamy tuna filling.
