Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9-inch square pan with foil, allowing the edges to hang over for easy removal later.
- Mix the bar ingredients in a medium bowl until well combined. Then, press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Bake in your preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown. Once baked, let the cookie base cool completely for about 1 hour.
- Prepare the filling by combining the white chocolate pudding mix with melted butter in another bowl. Stir in the chopped cherries, powdered sugar, and cherry juice, mixing until smooth, then spread it generously over the cooled cookie base.
- Melt the chocolate chips and the remaining butter together in a microwave-safe bowl. Stir gently until completely smooth.
- Spread the melted chocolate mixture over the filling layer. Refrigerate for about 1 hour, or until set.
- Cut the bars by lifting them out of the pan using the foil edges. Slice into squares and store covered in the refrigerator.
