How to Make Heart Shaped Brownies
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a 9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the chocolate and butter together in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth and glossy.
- Whisk in the granulated sugar, espresso powder, and eggs after removing the pan from heat. Add the vanilla extract and flaky sea salt, whisking until well combined.
- Fold in the all-purpose flour gently with a spatula until just combined. Then add in the chocolate chips and most of the M&Ms.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the reserved M&Ms on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking the doneness with a toothpick.
- Cool the brownies completely in the pan before lifting them out and cutting into heart shapes.
