  • 1 medium Onion Sauté until translucent
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 cup Heavy cream Can opt for lighter milk
  • 1 cup Peas Frozen peas work perfectly
Cheesy Rosti Topping
  • 4 medium Russet potatoes Can use Yukon Gold
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese Can substitute with mozzarella
  • 4 tablespoons Butter Melted
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese Optional, omit for lactose-free

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking dish by greasing it lightly.
  2. Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic in a pan with melted butter over medium heat until translucent, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Combine the sautéed onions and garlic with fresh fish, shrimp, peas, and heavy cream in a large bowl, stirring gently to mix.
  4. Transfer the fish filling to the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Grate the russet potatoes and squeeze out excess moisture using a towel.
  6. Mix the grated potatoes with melted butter, salt, pepper, and cheddar cheese until well combined.
  7. Spread the potato mixture evenly over the fish filling in the baking dish.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the rosti topping is golden brown and crispy.
  9. Cool for a few minutes before serving.
