Casserole Assembly
- Grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish.
- Spread half of the chopped Canadian bacon evenly at the bottom.
- Toast and chop the English muffins into 1 inch pieces.
- Layer half of the muffins on top of the bacon, followed by the remaining bacon and then the rest of the muffins.
- Whisk together eggs, cream, milk, and seasonings in a large bowl.
- Optional: Sprinkle shredded cheese over the layers.
- Pour the egg mixture over the casserole evenly.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Bake covered for 35 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
Hollandaise Sauce
- Blend egg yolks, cream, lemon juice, mustard, cayenne, and salt until mixed.
- Melt butter and slowly drizzle into the blender until smooth.
- Drizzle the hollandaise sauce over the baked casserole before serving.
