Ingredients
  

For the Rice Cake Base
  • 300 g Glutinous Rice Soak overnight
  • 15 g Lard (melted) Can substitute with vegetable oil
For the Sweet Black Sesame Filling
  • 50 g Roasted Black Sesame Can use raw sesame
  • 20 g White Sugar Coconut sugar can be used
For Cooking
  • 2 tbsp Cooking Oil Any neutral oil works

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Rinse the glutinous rice under cold water and soak it for 8-12 hours.
  2. Drain the soaked rice and steam it for 30-40 minutes until tender.
  3. Blend roasted black sesame and sugar until fine, then mix in melted lard.
  4. Knead the cooled steamed rice until smooth and divide into portions.
  5. Flatten each dough portion, add the filling in the center, and seal the edges.
  6. Pan-fry the cakes in cooking oil on medium-low heat until golden brown.
