For the Breading and Frying
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour
  • 2 large Eggs A flax egg works as a vegan substitute
  • 1 cup Buttermilk Regular milk or non-dairy alternative can be used
  • vegetable oil Vegetable Oil Neutral oils like canola or peanut are best
For the Bacon Gravy
  • 4 slices Bacon Can substitute with turkey bacon
  • 1 cup Milk Heavy cream can be used for richer flavor

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Generously sprinkle salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder on both sides of the pork chops. Allow them to sit for about 15 minutes to deepen the flavor.
  2. Set up two shallow dishes. Fill one with all-purpose flour and the other with a mixture of whisked eggs and buttermilk.
  3. Coat each pork chop in flour, dip into the egg mixture, then return to the flour for a second layer.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the pork chops for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  5. In the same skillet, add chopped bacon and cook until crispy. Stir in flour, gradually whisk in milk, and cook until the gravy thickens.
  6. Serve the crispy pork chops hot with bacon gravy drizzled over the top.
