How to Make Slow Cooker Chicken Shawarma
- In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, smoked paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, salt, pepper, and lemon juice until smooth.
- Add the boneless, skinless chicken thighs to the marinade and coat them thoroughly.
- Slice the red onion and place it at the bottom of the slow cooker. Layer the marinated chicken on top.
- Cover the slow cooker and set it on low heat for about 4 hours.
- Carefully remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred or slice it to your preference.
