How to Make Easy Rhubarb Scones
- Preheat your oven to 400°F.
- Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Stir in the diced rhubarb gently.
- Add the heavy whipping cream, stirring just until the dough begins to form.
- Shape the dough into a 10-inch diameter circle, about ¾ inch thick, on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
- Sprinkle the scones with 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar.
- Bake the scones in the preheated oven until they are light golden brown, approximately 20-25 minutes.
- Brush with melted butter as soon as they come out of the oven.
- Store leftovers at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For the optional glaze, mix powdered sugar, whipping cream, and vanilla extract in a small bowl.
