  3. In a large mixing bowl, mix granulated sugar, large eggs, almond extract, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk until pale and thickened.
  4. Fold in the all-purpose flour gently, followed by the melted butter until smooth. Avoid overmixing.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing it out evenly. Top with the almond mixture.
