How to Make Slow Cooker Salisbury Steaks
- Spray a 6-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Layer the bottom with sliced mushrooms and onions.
- In a bowl, combine lean ground beef with steak seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, onion flakes, parsley, breadcrumbs, and egg. Form into 4-6 oval patties.
- Carefully place the patties in the slow cooker on top of the mushroom and onion layer.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper until smooth.
- Pour the gravy mixture over the patties gently. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
- For a thicker gravy, mix cornstarch with water, stir into the slow cooker after removing the steaks, and cook briefly on high until thickened.
