Cooking Steps
- Pour olive oil into a large skillet and set over medium-high heat. Wait until the oil shimmers slightly.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Add to the skillet, cooking for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced apples. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
- Combine maple syrup, chicken broth, and cinnamon in the skillet. Stir and let bubble for about 2 minutes.
- Nestle the chicken back into the skillet among the apples. Cover and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes.
- Drizzle fresh lemon juice over the dish just before serving, and sprinkle with fresh thyme.
