How to Make Italian Farinata Chickpea Flatbread
- Sift the chickpea flour into a large bowl and add a pinch of sea salt flakes.
- Gradually pour in the water while whisking gently, then add the olive oil and stir until smooth.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and allow the batter to rest for 2 hours at room temperature.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Generously oil an oven-safe skillet with about 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
- Pour the rested batter into the skillet, spreading it to about 0.5 cm thick. Bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, let it rest for 5 minutes, sprinkle with coarse salt, slice, and serve warm.
