How to Make Italian Farinata Chickpea Flatbread
  1. Sift the chickpea flour into a large bowl and add a pinch of sea salt flakes.
  2. Gradually pour in the water while whisking gently, then add the olive oil and stir until smooth.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and allow the batter to rest for 2 hours at room temperature.
  4. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  5. Generously oil an oven-safe skillet with about 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  6. Pour the rested batter into the skillet, spreading it to about 0.5 cm thick. Bake for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven, let it rest for 5 minutes, sprinkle with coarse salt, slice, and serve warm.
