- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sauté diced onion for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant and translucent.
- Add shredded cabbage and season with sea salt. Cook for 5-6 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic, cooking for just 1 minute.
- Incorporate the frozen hash browns and 1½ cups of shredded Irish cheddar. Mix well.
- Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and return to the oven for another 4-5 minutes.
- Garnish generously with chopped green onions before serving.
