- In a medium bowl, combine the drained canned tuna and cottage cheese. Gently break up the tuna with a fork.
- Crack an egg into the mix, followed by chopped green onions, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Add in the panko breadcrumbs and mix until cohesive. The mixture should hold its shape.
- Shape mixture into 6 equal patties, about 2½ inches wide, ensuring they are packed tightly.
- For pan-frying, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- For baking, preheat oven to 400°F. Bake patties for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Serve warm with your choice of sauce, like lemon-dill yogurt or sriracha mayo, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
