How to Make Black Pepper Tofu
- Prep Tofu: Begin by draining and pressing the tofu slabs for about 15 minutes.
- Make Slurry: In a small bowl, whisk together the tamari, water, sweetener, and flour.
- Cook Tofu: Heat oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu and fry for approximately 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until it turns golden brown.
- Add Sauce: Pour the prepared slurry into the pan along with the ground black pepper, garlic, and ginger. Stir well and cook for another 3 minutes.
- Finish: Toss in the hot peppers and green onions, then stir-fry for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve: Serve your Black Pepper Tofu over cooked rice or soba noodles.
