Ingredients
  

For the Salad
  • 1 head Romaine lettuce Chopped
  • 4 cups Spring mix
  • 2 cups Arugula
  • 2 cups Crisp apples Sliced, use Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
  • 1 cup Dried cranberries
  • 4 slices Bacon Crispy crumbles
  • 1 small Red onion Thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Feta cheese Crumbled
  • 1 medium Avocado Sliced
For the Candied Walnuts
  • 1 cup Walnuts Raw
  • 2 tablespoons Salted butter
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
For the Poppy Seed Dressing
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Milk Adjust for consistency
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Poppy seeds
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper

Method
 

Directions
  1. In a nonstick pan over medium heat, add the walnuts, butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Stir constantly until the sugar and butter melt, coating the nuts, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  2. Transfer the candied walnuts to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread them out to cool and harden; you can leave them whole or chop them into smaller pieces.
  3. Whisk together the mayonnaise, milk, sugar, apple cider vinegar, poppy seeds, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary!
  4. In a large bowl, toss together the chopped romaine, spring mix, and arugula.
  5. Arrange the greens on a platter, then top with sliced apples, dried cranberries, crispy bacon, red onion, avocado, crumbled feta, and those irresistible candied walnuts.
  6. Drizzle the creamy poppy seed dressing over the salad just before serving, or toss everything together for an all-in-one experience.
