For the Corn Ribs

  • 1 teaspoon Sweet paprika powder Smoked paprika can be used for a deeper flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Fresh minced garlic can be used for a more robust aroma.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper Adjust to taste.
For the Aleppo Chili Butter
  • 1/2 cup Vegan butter Margarine works well as a substitute.
  • 1 tablespoon Aleppo chili flakes Feel free to use your favorite mild chili flakes.
For the Lime Zest Cream Cheese
  • 1 cup Vegan cream cheese Cashew cream or tofu-based cream cheese can be used.
  • 1 tablespoon Lime zest Essential for a refreshing flavor profile.
  • 2 tablespoons Lime juice Essential for a refreshing flavor profile.
For Garnishing
  • 1/4 cup Toasted pine nuts Sunflower seeds are a great nut-free option.
  • 2 tablespoons Green onion Infuse fresh herby notes.
  • 2 tablespoons Coriander Or parsley; experiment with other herbs.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Begin by removing the husks and trimming the ends of the corn. Carefully cut the corn in half and then slice it lengthwise to create rib-like pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, sweet paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Brush this mixture generously over the corn ribs.
  3. Air-fry the seasoned corn ribs at 180°C (355°F) for about 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through for even crispiness.
  4. In a pan, melt the vegan butter along with a dash of olive oil. Stir in the Aleppo chili flakes and set aside.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the vegan cream cheese with lime zest and juice until smooth. Chill the mixture in the fridge.
  6. Arrange the corn ribs on a serving plate, dollop the cream cheese on top, drizzle with Aleppo chili butter, and sprinkle with toasted pine nuts and green onions.
