For the Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Smoked Paprika Adds smokiness
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Granules Or garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chinese 5 Spice For Asian flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar For caramelization
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Preferably pink Himalayan salt

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic granules, Chinese 5 spice, brown sugar, cayenne pepper, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Pat the pork belly slices dry with a paper towel. Score the fat in a crosshatch pattern.
  4. Rub the seasoning mix evenly over the pork belly slices.
  5. Lay the seasoned slices on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 40-50 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Broil the pork belly slices for 5 minutes for extra crispiness. Serve immediately.
