Cooking Steps
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and drizzle in the olive oil, letting it shimmer.
- Generously coat the boneless chicken breasts with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- Place the seasoned chicken in the hot skillet, cooking for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest on a plate.
- In the same skillet, combine the peri peri sauce, heavy cream, chicken broth, and lemon juice. Stir well.
- Simmer the sauce for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens.
- Stir in the butter until it melts completely into the sauce, then return the chicken to the skillet.
- Simmer the chicken in the sauce for another 3-4 minutes.
- While the sauce simmers, rinse the long grain white rice under cold water, then cook it in a separate pot with water.
- Fluff the rice gently with a fork when done.
- Plate the creamy peri peri chicken over the fluffy rice and serve.
