Ingredients

For the Sauce
  • 3/4 cup Heavy Whipping Cream Creates a rich, creamy sauce to coat your broccoli.
  • 2 tablespoons Cream Cheese Thickens the sauce, adding an extra layer of creaminess.
  • 1/4 cup Chicken/Vegetable Stock Adds more flavor and moisture; opt for low-sodium for a healthier option.
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Grated Parmesan Cheese Provides depth of flavor and a cheesy finish, making this dish irresistible.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Adds a mild smoky flavor and vibrant color; smoked paprika can be used for more depth.
For the Vegetables and Bacon
  • 5 oz Bacon Provides crispy texture and savory flavor; turkey bacon works as a leaner alternative.
  • 2 pounds Broccoli Florets The star of the dish, rich in nutrients; cauliflower is a great substitution for a twist.
  • 5 cloves Garlic Infuses the dish with aromatic depth; adjust the quantity for a milder garlic flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Enhances flavors; don’t forget to adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Fresh Cracked Pepper Enhances flavors; don’t forget to adjust to taste.
For Topping
  • 1/2 cup Grated Mozzarella Melts beautifully to create a delightful golden crust; try a dairy-free cheese blend for a vegan option.

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large oven-safe skillet, fry the bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.
  3. Drain the excess bacon fat from the skillet, leaving about 1 tablespoon. Melt the butter in the skillet, add broccoli florets, salt, and pepper, then cook for about 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the broccoli is tender yet vibrant.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant, being careful not to let it brown.
  5. Pour in the heavy whipping cream, add the cream cheese, stock, half of the grated parmesan and mozzarella, and paprika. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until everything is well blended and the sauce is smooth.
  6. Mix the crispy bacon back into the creamy mixture, stirring until evenly coated and combined.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until bubbly. Broil for an additional 2 minutes for a crispier top if preferred.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Sprinkle with extra cracked pepper and fresh chopped parsley before serving.
