How to Make Easy Homemade Pastrami
- Prepare Spice Mix: In a large tray, combine all the spice ingredients together until well blended.
- Coat Beef: Pat the corned beef dry with paper towels. Roll the beef in the prepared spice mix, ensuring it's fully coated.
- Wrap Beef: Wrap the spiced beef tightly in aluminum foil, fat cap facing up, and place it in your slow cooker.
- Cook: Set your slow cooker to low and let it cook for 10 hours.
- Cool: Once cooked, carefully remove the beef from the cooker and allow it to cool in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours.
- Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Unwrap the beef and bake for 30 minutes.
- Slice & Serve: Slice the pastrami thinly against the grain and serve warm on rye bread.
