Preparation Steps
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the thick cut bacon for about 7-10 minutes until crispy. Drain on paper towels and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chopped chives and sauté for about 5 minutes until soft and fragrant.
- In a saucepan, combine maple syrup, soy sauce, and vanilla extract. Simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes until thickened.
- Add cooked bacon, garlic powder, and onion powder into the syrup mixture and simmer for another 10 minutes.
- Allow cream cheese to sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes until softened.
- In a serving dish, spread chili onion crunch over the softened cream cheese.
- Pour the warm bacon-maple mixture over the cream cheese and sprinkle with additional chives and black pepper.
