- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.

- Layer the potato slices evenly in the baking dish.

- Stir in mozzarella and cheddar cheese until fully melted.
- Pour half of the cheese sauce over the potatoes, cover with foil, and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil, pour the remaining cheese sauce over, and bake uncovered for another hour until golden brown.
