How to Make Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes

  2. Prepare the potatoes by peeling (optional) and slicing them thinly, about ⅛ inch thick.
  3. Arrange the potato slices evenly in the prepared baking dish, overlapping them slightly.
  4. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in the flour until smooth, then add the milk and cream gradually.
  5. Season your sauce with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes until it thickens.
  6. Stir in the mozzarella and cheddar cheese until fully melted and smooth.
