How to Make Cheesy Ground Beef and Rice Casserole
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown 1 pound of lean ground beef along with 1 diced onion for about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in 2 minced garlic cloves and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- In a bowl, whisk together 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, ½ cup of milk or beef broth, 1 teaspoon of paprika, ½ teaspoon of salt, and ¼ teaspoon of pepper.
- In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, combine the cooked rice, beef mixture, and half of the shredded cheese.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top. Cover with foil.
- Bake for 20 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Optional: Broil for another 2 minutes for a crispy top.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh chopped parsley if desired.
