Method

How to Make Caramel Apple Nachos
  1. Prepare Toppings: Start by crushing the pretzels and chopping the Heath bar into pieces. Place them in separate bowls to make reaching for them a breeze while assembling your nachos.
  2. Prep Apples: Wash, core, and slice the Granny Smith and Gala apples. Soak them in a mixture of lemon juice and water (or Sprite) for about 5 minutes to keep them from browning.
  3. Make Caramel Sauce: In a medium saucepan, melt the salted butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, and sweetened condensed milk. Cook until bubbling for about 5 minutes, then remove from heat and mix in the vanilla extract. Let it cool slightly for the perfect drizzling consistency.
  4. Melt White Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the white chocolate at 30-second intervals, stirring between each until completely melted and smooth.
  5. Assemble Nachos: Drain the apples and pat them dry gently. Arrange the apple slices on a large platter, drizzling generously with caramel and melted white chocolate. Top with crushed pretzels and Heath bar pieces for added crunch.
  6. Serve: Allow your guests to customize their nachos by adding any additional toppings they desire. You can also serve it with more caramel or chocolate on the side!
