  • 1 tablespoon Italian Herbs/Seasoning Mix of oregano, basil, and thyme
  • ½ cup Grated Parmesan Cheese Pecorino Romano for a sharper flavor
  • 1 cup Grated Mozzarella Cheese Dairy-free cheese for non-dairy
  • Salt To taste Adjust according to cheese selection

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
  2. In a large, oven-proof pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add crushed garlic and freshly ground pepper, cooking for about 30 seconds.
  3. Stir in 2 tablespoons of flour and cook for another 30 seconds. Slowly whisk in 1 cup of milk and ½ cup of cream, letting it simmer until thick and creamy. Add Italian herbs and ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese, then remove from heat.
  4. Cook gnocchi in boiling salted water until they float, taking about 2-3 minutes. Transfer them into the creamy sauce and mix gently.
  5. Sprinkle 1 cup of grated mozzarella cheese on top and bake for 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  6. Let the gnocchi cool for a few minutes before serving.
